Mia Barić is a photographer and mixed media artist whose work captures the convergence of storytelling and personal identity. With images that can be described as tenderly intimate and consciously eccentric, her ultimate goal is to explore the breadth of her experience and how it intertwines with culture, history, and familial lineage. Rich in color and often utilizing the natural world, her work traces borders between her identities as a queer woman and a first generation American. Barić’s photographs speak powerfully about selfhood, the people she loves, and the intersectionality of womanhood and queerness, despite cultural expectations.

She is a current student at the Fashion Institute of Technology, earning her bachelor’s degree in Photography and Related Media and a minor in Art History.
